Newly announced today. Arma Hobby are to tackle the early P-40s, namely the AVG machines, Hawk 81, Tomahawk II and P-40 B/C. Have to admit, I hope they do the Tomahawk I as well as I'm not sure it's ever been specifically modelled. Bit of a shame they've not done any Mohawks or the spatted P-36s but maybe they're in the not too distant future.

They'll be good to see   I can see £ being spent

I think there have been early P-40's, by the likes of AZ etc, but I'm not sure how accurate they are. As for "spatted" P-36's, Clear Prop did some a few years ago, I have a couple in the Stash, and they always remind me of an earlier iteration of ARMA for some reason, sam eoverall style ? But it would be nice to see them tackled by ARMA, especially as I've now learned to ignore the tiny bits
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I did work out that with judicious trimming, it is possible to make a Tomahawk I, IIa and IIb from the Airfix kit. IIRC the old IPMS Sweden article helped there. However, Arma do their research well so will no doubt be able to produce better than "get you by" mods.

The RAF received some French order Hawk 75-A1/A2/A3 which were designated Mohawk I to III.
The Arma Hawk 75-A1/A2 kit can be used to model those early Mohawks.

An interesting tail about them too, they arrived at Liverpool Docks and were uncrated at RAF Burtonwood, where some were immediately used as local defence. They had RAF camouflage hastily applied to their upper surfaces, and at least one flew on patrol with its Armee de l'Aire roundels still on the undersurface!

I've got a pic of it somewhere and built the old Revell Hawk 75 kit in that hybrid scheme.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
