Well, this is really a thread for releases of, & discussions about Modelcollect kits.

As much as I think "Lisbeth" looks great, I can't find any reference to a kit of this type of vehicle being made by Modelcollect, anywhere.

Not grumbling, here, just clarifying.

It may have been more appropriate to post it in a new thread here (https://www.whatifmodellers.com/index.php?board=48.0) or here (https://www.whatifmodellers.com/index.php?board=1.0).

This might be old news, but it was new to me. A-12 Avenger II in 1/48th, currently in Jadlam for £50 (down from £60):

Where's the 1/72 scale version?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Supposedly to be released in 2026 with USN and USAF boxings.

Apparently due for release 2026 .If it includes the same build options as the 1/48 kit, I'll probably buy a few but, if not, I might have to temporarily turn to the dark side.....! ;)  ;D . Still, I like Modelcollect and its adventurous choice of subjects. Fast becoming one of my "go to" brands <_<

I've noticed a few on the Bay of E around the £45 mark. I don't generally do 1/48 but, I'd consider even £50  a bit on the high side for this kit. Just a personal view however. I LOVE the subject though.

Came out in April apparently. It's quite detailed and has a wingfold option, which is nice. There are at least two other boxings with different makrings, but one criticism I've seen of all of them is that they give the aircraft to F-14 fighter squadrons when it was the A-6 it was supposed to replace.

How are you supposed to fold the wings on something like that?!

Details! Mere details! 😉🤣. Looks good in the "Jolly Rogers" markings though. I rather like the JASDF option too. Nice to see a proper camouflage scheme instead of just boring grey.

Whiffed in Extra Dark Sea Grey and 809 NAS markings might work too...............  ;)

Fair enough! I thought the wings were thicker than they really are so those pics definitely help, thanks!
