From Bungle's shoe-funding stash-clearance sale:

1/72nd Testors SR-75 Penetrator. This is the 'SR-71-on-steroids' which has a piggyback 'Thunderdart' aircraft in one of the other boxings (but not this one). i'm thinking of it as a first-stage launch vehicle for some of the British space projects in BSP-5.

1/72nd Hasegawa P-2V-7 Neptune. I have two of these now (t'other one's the Revell boxing). The idea is to make these into 'more British' versions: early ASW one with AS Python turboprops and a later AEW one with the rotordome & engines from the Hawkeye.

Italeri give you the Thunderdart in their boxing Weaver, for some reason ( More Money?) Testors split them into two kits.

1/72nd Quad Tilt Rotor, 1/144th V/STOL E2 Hawkeye (stalled)

Yes I know, but it's what Bungle had. Any of these, with or without the Thunderdart, go for silly money if you can find them at all these days.

A Hasegawa Martin Marlin has been transferred from Bungles stash to my kit mule who will be delivering it to me later in the year.

While in town on other business I tried to visit a city HS today only to miss its closing time by 10 minutes.  D'oh!
Had to order what I was after on line instead.

Fred

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I will choose a path that's clear, I will choose free will.

Went to an airshow over the weekend but bought nothing! (apart from food and drink) However I planned ahead by going to the book/model shop on my hometown on the way there, and found a Pit Road 1/144 "R.A.F. TSR.2 Strike Role" for only NZ$20. There's a lot of very nice plastic in there!
With warm regards from Whanganui, New Zealand

Another installment from Bungle's epic stash clearout:

TWO Revell 1/72nd Northrop B-2 ATBs. These are the "stealth bombers" based on speculative artwork before the actualy shape of the B-2 was revealed.

Tamiya 1/72nd Skyray

Revell 1/72nd Luchs armoured car (modern)

Revell 1/72nd Fuchs APC (modern)

Bungle also very kindly included a selection of excellent decal sheets as a bonus - top man!

From Uncle Frank:

1 bottle Xtracrylix RAF Sky and two Humbrol Acrylics, Matt and Gloss Blacks.

And apparently I have won yet another Spitfire on ebay.  Why I bid on a Ventura mk 14 highback when I have a shedload of them already, plus various Griffon fuselages spare I can use is a complete mystery...

An Airfix weapons kit, just to get the JP:s. Dead expensive JP:s it was, but once it's paid, noone really knows that, right?
And some old fighter jet kits to try to make a french allweather strike aircraft that actually, possibly, could have happened, hadn't the Mirage Delta ideas worked so well.

How come, btw, that I always buy so much faster than I build?

I always leave the price tag on the boxes then when I dig the box out a few years latter I can go "that was cheap" and feel quite smug  ;D

Love the idea of the possible French builds there were some really interesting looking designs in that period.

I don't think anyone builds faster than they buy ?

The only possible candidate is Dizzy, and then only if he used 4-5 kits per build.  ;D ;D ;) ;)
Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

...but the remnants pile up. Quick building does not solve the stash problems in itself.

BTW, could not resist and snatched a ModelCollect 1:72 E-100 tank/chassis with a Rheintochter AAM launch pad mounted on top. Weird, and gave me further inspiration for another Heer '46 AA build.
