Two of the three sets of dentists' tools I bought off ebay arrived so I'm currently trying them out.  Much better for cleaning out panel lines.  The third set has the files.

I also bought some moulding rubber.  Mixes like Milliput and cures within five minutes.  Ideal for easy one off small parts, such as instrument panels, cockpit bulkheads, etc.  More as and when I try it, likely soon as I need new cockpit interior moulds for Spitfires...

They are supposed to be updating the tooling this year for that kit to represent more of the developed prototypes, which makes the original kit ideal Whif fodder

For some reason, the J-20 has always reminded me of a certain Lockheed's concept drawing for the F-22, notably immortalized as the cover art for the computer game F-29 Retaliator. ;)

No.  Torture for me - ie if I were doing it - would involve a deep fat frier, a char grill and several large pans.

Received today from Evil-Bay;

Both 1/72 Hasegawa in the 70's style boxes with great art and funky fonts.
Mitsubishi A6M3 - Box top says 1986 but it looks 70's.  Bought because I don't have a Zero and because it has 3 cowling options, two fins and two engines and will thus boost the parts box.
Beechcraft T-34A Mentor - another to add to the growing fleet of zenrat industries light aircraft.  It comes with a tow tractor which will be useful.

And from Elhiem Figures an assortment of 1/72ish white metal helicopter pilots, armed women, damsels in distress, 70's chicks, sailors a milkmaid and ms whiplash.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Unexpectedly won an ev!lbay auction for an 1:72 Kinetic F-16D Block 52+ for just EUR 10,-. These kits normally go for no less than EUR 20,-; quality appears faily high and the parts look promising.

I've got one of the suction vises and it's pretty good, at least for the 10 euros it cost.

That's only because i didn't see that auction... ;D
Just joking, i've got one of them on the bench and it is a very nice kit, only the top/mid fuselage panel lines are a bit too deep, compared to Revell's or Hasegawa's. Still, a very good kit, IMHO. and you got a nice bargain!

Well. i haven't bought any kits in a while but i just received 4 sheets of the PoAF Lo-viz F-16A decals i had on backorder for over 6 months, from the Portuguese brand, Black Cat decals. I was looking forward to get these as i thought that the sheet would be correct, and that meant having the very light grey roundels, like the real thing...

But they're not quite the same...

I was hoping to use these over dark colored schemes but no worries, i'll just print my own as i was already set on doing, and i'll find something else to use these on.
I'm thinking of writing an email about this to the owner, who's also the owner of BigCat modeling shop, a really cool guy. He'll probably be glad to get feedback about them from a very good client. ;D Maybe if it's possible, he can have them corrected for the next batch.

Picked up the model collect T-64 tank 1972 era as always liked that since seeing it in one of those Salamander Illustrated guides from the early 80's - Couldn't justify a 1/35th one but the 72nd kit looks rather nice

Also did a paint restock and picked up more of the Hataka Acrylic paint sets :-

Falklands War set 1 - Argentine with the colours for the mirages and the Pucara
Falklands War set 2 - British restock of the FAA & RAF colours for the types (already happy with the RAF Blue Grey used previously)
RAF Coastal Command and FAA Set - WW2 colours but includes Sky Grey used on early war FAA
Modern US Set - US colours including the Have Glass Grey used on the F-35  ;D
Project Cancelled SIG Secretary, specialising in post war British RN warships, RN and RAF aircraft projects. Also USN and Russian warships

No.  Torture for me - ie if I were doing it - would involve a deep fat frier, a char grill and several large pans.

There's a chef* at our place who I really *REALLY* hate with a passion that you can only dream of.  He's nearly been hit today with a steamer tray and a large pan.  Accidentally, but I confess that I wouldn't have lost any sleep - and indeed would have pissed myself laughing - if I had hit him.

*I say chef, what I actually mean is retarded moron who I wouldn't trust to boil water without an instruction manual and a Sous chef to run to when he burns it.  This imbecile makes me look like Gordon Ramsay and I don't regard myself as being particularly good at being a chef.

I've picked up a a few of these at shows. Found the aluminium in the Polish WWII set (4 colours  ;D) is one of the best acrylic metal colours I've tried. Needed a really good shake but very good.

Have you seen their WWII R.N. colours set Geoff ? 27 Colours  There's a page on the range in the July SAM.
