Thanks for all your kind words - it makes the frustrations of the build worthwhile!
I thought that the empty radar compartment could hold a fuel tank - but that could have c of g implications. Apart from the ex-bomb bay, the wings could carry larger tanks with the elimination of the folding mechanism.

Fuel tanks can be carried in the floats too   ;) especially big ones  ;D

Exactly. I like the idea of the fuel in the wings. I also like the idea of keeping the fold, would look great in a boathouse awaiting it's next duty !

The charabanc version tempted for a time - passengers could have been issued with umbrellas to keep off the rain or sun, and be held horizontally to shorten landing runs. I shall leave it to somebody else to take up that challenge ;D

ROTFL!  ;D

The pre-flight stweardess's briefing would be something to see........  ;D

"Upon landing, please hold the umbrella in a forwards, not rearwards direction, and please take care not to wrap the strap around your wrist. Failure to observe the instructions may result in something we like to call "Mary Poppins" syndrome..."

I see the exhausts are run along the passenger compartment to avoid having to install a heater...
