Man I love Caunter builds, got quite a number on the shelf.

This one gets accurate (according to Vallejo) colours - Portland Stone, Silver Grey, and Slate.  A future build will get the Bovington Blue variation and I am pondering a winter variation in shades of grey and white.

Progress.  One coat of Silver Grey on everything and one coat of Slate on the turret.  I'd say it'll need one more coat of Silver Grey and at least two more of Slate.

Fred:  that does look rather good 
i can feel my statement regarding a Tamiya Challenger 1 in a similar scheme rather reinforcing itself..  just need to get the time.

It's amazing how that scheme makes the KV it'self look like a British design rather than a Soviet one ?

Hmmmm.  Maybe there is a whiff there.  Scratch up a big turret holding a British howitzer and put it on a Matilda II chassis...

My airbrush compressor died today.
I turned it on, it filled the tank and then when the pressure relief valve popped the power in my shed tripped.
After walking all the way up the yard and round the house to turn it back on (it tripped at the main household board not at the sub board in the shed) and then all the way back down again it ran but the pressure relief valve was constantly open.
I expect I could have fixed it or had it fixed but its 20 years old and has been bodged a few times already to keep it running.  So, time to get a new one.
I fired up the Hobby Tools Australia website and have ordered a bundle consisting of a compressor and a Sparmax double action airbrush.  My current airbrush is a 20 year old single action Pasche (came bundled with my old compressor from the same place I just bought the new one) which I am more than happy with but the bundle was a good deal and its always good to get a new tool    .
