It's their criticism of the tight fit between the pins/holes that get me.

What?  :banghead:
Fer all that's holy I generally remove moulded on alignment pins on fuselage/nacelle/drop tank/bomb/engine block
halves, as many times they actually interfere with proper alignment, regardless of the age of the kit, and usually
aren't actually necessary. Cutting the bloody pins off also enables a good flattening sanding of the mating surfaces which
in turn usually eliminates any need for filler, putty, etc.

Wing to fuselage etc., joints being a different matter.  :thumbsup:
"Evil our grandsires were, our fathers worse;
And we, till now unmatched in ill,
Must leave successors more corrupted still."

Picked up an ancient Hasegawa F-86 at a model show last week, it may get whiffed into a Tuskegee.

new nose for em with a bombaimers position, an upper turret behind the cockpit, and even better for the MR 2..........................a tail turret.

and over sized wing pods instead of a more usual bomb bay
