I always try to build using as much sheet plastic as possible. The less filler I use the better the finish seems to come out. I've recently tried Aves epoxie putty and its pretty sweet. I don't have to worry about something taking forever to dry if the layer is too thick or having to apply numerous layers. Looks like you are well on your way, carry on!

I was scared as h... but I've decided to use a mini saw and cut a hole for front gear well.
Surprisingly there was no problems with that:

I can tell that this build is going to be outstanding when its done. Keep it up

It's a shame the Skorpion was never flown, it would have probably still been a viable weapons system well into the 21st century. Whatever happened to the Polish aircraft industry?

What happened? It was sold. Sold by witless politicans and corrupted officials. There was so mamy interesting projects and prospective designs. Skorpion is just one of them...Iryda, Pirania, Bielik, Hawk, Orkan, Cobra... Skorpion is partialy real because there is a mock up of it. Iryda was flying...until requirements for it were not available for designers. One interesting thing about Skorpion... There is a Scorpion strike aircraft in USA actually. Funny fact - the project came from Textron company , exactly the same that made wind tunnel model of Skorpion for PZL. Coincidence?
I hope so.

Another awful thing is about shipbuilding industry. Two polish corvettes , GAWRON type...great plan...but only a plan. Sadly , one of them will be build as a half-patrol ship and another will became minelayer...because of lack of money. Only a bad luck? No corruption? No bad decisions? I hope so...

Well , you're right - Polish military industry had just died out slowly ,but with big help from officials. We (I mean , here in Poland) are buying Alenia Aermacchi M-346 trainers. I just have no idea why?? Few years ago one man , in private company build advanced trainer with posibility for vectoring thrust for a few more $. Here it is:

The reason of cancelling this project? No adequate certificates, no required features. I think this plane has as much features as any other but if Bielik would be accepted for serial production , then unknown official couldmn't take a lot of money from contract for foreign trainers.

Another thing...we are still using Su-22 strike planes. We could have Skorpion, Pirania and many others. Helicopters? As you wish...We are using Mi-24 gunships. We could have Vulture and Hawk attach choppers (on a base of Falcon helicopter) , there were a advanced projects of them. Result? We have Capercaillie something-like-attack-chopper and SW-4 helicopter as a trainer. We are palanning to buy Blackhawk, Caracal or Augusta. We could already have Falcon Long. Why? The reason is above...

Yep...I would personally knock-out individual who "killed" Skorpion ad Gawron-type corvettes. And when he would be awake I would do it again and again and again...

But anyway , 1:48 Skorpion will be on my private military base

Today , sanding was finished, HOORAY!

But also , problem appeared. I sanded to much and I have a hole in bottom part of fuselage:

I will make a pylon there or another fairing but it's bother me.

Well , you found something called Grot II. This proposed trainer for...well, I don't know what for because of Alenia Aermacchi...but I'm pretty sure that this plane won't be built.
