I had that happen at dinner one Mother's Day, ages ago with a wisdom tooth.  I just waited until my Guard battalion's summer camp at Ft Drum to blame the rations on it, and had it extracted at one of the base dental clinics when there was still an AMEDD (Army Medical Department) presence on the base.

the 80s brits are done, and wile it was 10 figs im only counting them as 5 for completions sake.  the chally is done assembled and painted, need to put a few decals on and its done  gone for a lighter green main coat, with the standard stripes blotched on in nato black, and then some flat white  the same ( that has a good variance of opacity some some parts are more very pale green ) it looks rather striking, and i intend to do a landy and 2 warriors to go with it, along with the  Athena winter squaddies https://www.athenaminiatures.co.uk/product/british-rifle-section  .  to give a bit more winter  feel to them,  its rather heavy metal for most skirmishes in that form but gives a pair of reinforced squads and  a non too obvious officer,

the 3 ground zero games hover vehicles are done,   the less gloss varnish drying now,  they are a fun and simple paint  but do look good.

ive had a rummage through my airfix operation Herrick stuff amd found that i have a snatch land rover in the pile, so thats been extracted from the pile of potential, and undercoated.  I think i will leave off the decals for the mesh on the windows, as it looks rather busy just on the storage sheet.  but at the moment im feeling good with hobby things, and will have to go into the loft to get the warriors soon ish.

the landy is rather busier than i thought it would be  having  engine gubbins and extensive underside bits  ( yes i know, highly technical terms    )  and im going to have to read my paint conversion tables carefully as not being a Humbrol user im going to have to convert to Tamiya numbers.
the interior is also rather more detailed than the ( much) older 1:43 scale one i put together years back, which isnt a bad thing either     as that one looked very good at wargames ranges  ( 2` visual range on the table top) even if it looked rather large compared to most other stuff i used, due to that being 1:50 or 1:48.

A chat to our esteemed colleagues Pellson and Killnoizer  about the extensive underside bits and engine gubbins of the Land Rover Defender  might be helpful.  They are our experts  in this field, having found it necessary to  lean into or crawl underneath the full size  vehicle on occasion.

I don't know if it's true, but there was a rumour that early Land Rovers were painted  RAF cockpit green, the paint having been bought as military surplus material  in 1948 .  If so, it could well be Tamiya  XF71.

shamelessly stolen from my younger brother, ( for a wargamer the alternative is " the pile of shame" due to the unbuilt unpainted units residing thereof.

works for me as well, though mine is rather more modern  in that the troops have SA80s  so it must be after 1984 i think as thats when the troop trials started or post 94 for chally 2 adoption
