Now that is SOMETHING ELSE! I LOVE it!

It'd be a bitch to model though, while the lettering wouldn't be too bad, the multi-striped decals would take some working out for sure.

You're right and even way more beyond -my- meager capabilities. lol   I've considered getting ahold of Jim B. to see if he would make them since he has all that fancy stuff. As far as making the aircraft, it kind of appears that the nose is merely stretched along with the upper deck?  That should be easy to do. Zvesda 747-8 in the back at least then whatever is handy from another 747 kit for the nose.  ;D   Just guessing here. And I suppose that would need to be figured out in order to get measurements for the decals?

Then I gotta find a 1/144 Bentley....        (or whatever that is  lol )

We're thinking in similar lines Brad.

We might need TWO 747-8s though, that'd be pricey, and what do you do with the left-over bits?  :-\

I saved the pic for future reference and I'll explore my Pan-Am decals when I get home, but a Minicraft Stratocruiser sounds like a good starting point.

It's a Rolls Royce Phantom, not a Bentley.  ;D

RR, even better! I wonder if such a thing even exists in 1/144.  ;D    But I jest...

Good points though, I'm thinking even though I already have one, I'd have to buy two more of the things because I would keep the third one I have already to build as normal so it would be a pretty pricey ordeal just thinking on that basis alone but...  imagine how glorious it would be!   ;D

EDIT: The simple solution would be to merely opt for putting the livery on the stock Zvesda 747-8.    Save money, time, hassle, etc etc and I bet the presentationw ould still be quite remarkable.

I've spent the last 30 mins on the Net looking for a 1/148 scale RR Phantom 6.7, that's British N scale model railway scale, which is close enough, but with no joy.

There was a guy offering a 3D printed one in 1/148 until recently, but it's been withdrawn, possibly because of action by RR themselves. They're notoriously hard-over about their 'intellectual property'.  :banghead:

Found this:

and this:

Be interesting to scratch up and pose beside the bombers.
The bottom one that looks like a kitbash of the Airfix Avro Vulcan and Airfix HS/BAE Nimrod is on the bench at the moment.
I've kept the four Vulcan kit tail pipes and added a pair of wingtips from a 1/72 F-15 Eagle.

This blew my mind today.  It's the prototype swing-wing C-47. :o

I have GOT to find a way to use some pink on something soon.  ;D   Ol' boy there did a great job with it.

Royal Navy used "Mountbatten Pink" during WW2.  It's not a bright colour, but it is distinct!  One of these days I'm going to build an RN BB in that colour.
USS New Jersey, BB-62, Vietnam
USS Neshanic, AO 71, out of Lindberg Neches and a WHOLE lot of extra details
And several other vessels named after NJ, locations and battles herein, and people herefrom
