Not quite sure if this is a whif - or Humour.

Finnish students at technical universities have a tradition of producing harmless pranks and other fun stuff for First of May. This one is from 1987. Looks as if it could be stolen from Aeroplane magazine.

According to othe text, they are offering it as a subject for a dissertation - but also accepting other proposals.

From what little I know about those two characters, isn't that kind of their normal condition?
Yes it was.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.  Revelling in numptytism.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

Searched for 4×330hp Gypsy engined proposals, it is probably Miles M.60. Needs at least the double engine power for a Tempest equivalent in 1945-50. This forum would probably fix some Hornet nose on a Tempest fuselage to somehow drive 4 propellers in the wings from a single engine in the fuselage which also distrupts the bombbay .

Looks to me like something that you would get when the airport is really busy!

From the page The Greatest Planes That Never Were (members only to keep out detractors), a lovely build by Marcin Nowak, who describes it as:

That looks pretty neat.

But I wonder what it would have done to the handling?

I just saw this in my Facebook news feed about 10 minutes ago. I thought it was kind of funny.  ;D
Such a concept would never work.

Modeling isn't just about how good the gluing or painting, etc. looks. It's also about how creative and imaginative you can be with a subject.
My modeling philosophy is: Don't build what everyone else has done. Build instead what nobody has seen or done before.

Boeing has history doing things like that, a bit anyway.

Google 'Hunchback of Mukilteo' for more info.

Sorry for the ancient lo-res pic, I should take another one.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Considering the engineering that went into Concorde's droop about so the pilot could see, I really wouldn't  wanna be sat on that while anyone tries to bring that down safely!

If I recall correctly, there were plans to eventually extend the 747 hump all the way to the rear. If I'm wrong, it would still make a good whiff.
