I like Roden kits, especially their quite imaginative choices. However, they're not for the rookies and. this is definitely one I'd prefer in 1/72. However, it it's going to be the only show in town.............!

I am sure you can easily find the Airfix kit on a well-known auction site for a reasonable price.

The big Airfix ones are still around, albeit at a price. :(

Some optimist is expecting theirs to sell for almost £100. :banghead:

Define 'reasonable'..................

I tried that just now, and the cheapest was over £60 with p&p.

Well the last time I looked at one it was about two-thirds of that price. However, I don't need any more as I have enough for my needs.

When I originally bought it it was about £45, so £60 is probably  less than Airfix would charge now, with inflation it would be over £70.

Roden are doing a 1/144 BAE Nimrod MR2

Hope they don't make the same mistake as Amodel with their Comet and make the wings too short. Kit would not approve....

How long before some enterprising soul comes out with and AEW conversion kit? At least any lumps of resin will equal out

Well, that's true of cours. However, "reasonable" is a bit subjective 😉😂

That's Harro's work, and it's SUPERB! They used to be available on Shapeways before they went bust, so the complete design is already around.

 ;D

I still have the design files. They need a few tweaks to make them easier to handle.

PR19_Kit

That's great Harro, you should be talking to Roden about some deal as they'd sell a few more Nimrod kits with your FAAS domes on the market as well.  ;D
