Cool thing - and pretty huge, I guess?

Only thing that's a bit "critical" is the overlapping of the propellers, a common problem that arises when you try to lengthen wings with two kits into one: one half propeller diameter is generally "missing". A friend of mine had this happen on a bashed Ju 488, too, and lengthening the wings enough was a tedious job...

Anyway, lovely big bird, well done!

That's very plausible, I could very much believe that was a lesser heard of protoype.  Good work!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

When I bashed my own 488 V401 back in 1994, I cobbled together my own plans and scaled up a tiny three view.  IIRC I used two Matchbox kits which had the wings in two halves, so I used the centre section of one with the complete wing of the other.  (On reflection, it would have been better using Italeri 188s, but at the time I was on a limited budget and Italeri Ju 188s were thin on the ground).  The outer engines appeared to be angled outwards slightly but certainly the inner nacelles were lengthened slightly.

I recently found my part started Ju 488 V-188 fuselage in a box.

Cheers guys.  ;D

You have a valid point Dizzy, the slight overlap of the props was an oversight in my quest to make sure that they don`t hit the ground or each other. I`m not really that sure if it would have too much a detrimental effect though as would the effect not be similar to contra rotating props?

I don`t doubt someone here is more knowledgeable than I.
