progress has been slow but steady, but there's a lot to update you guys on.

ive decided to cancel the "Salangua 1/144" project, but im not gonna let largly completed builds g oto waste, so ive decided to transfer these aircraft models to San Theodoros (why break my head making a new whif country when i can much easier take an exisiting one, as a tribute to Hergé). the tails were repainted in the black/green main flag colors, the newer planned aircraft will recieve new roundels and serials. so far, at lease for the modern fleet, im planning a C-130J-30, 2 Mirage 2000's, F-16C Block 50 (or 70, with CFT's), SH-3H Seakings, UH-1H Huey II's, CH-47F Chinook,....

to stay true t othe TinTin-style heritige of the country, im gonna be building a 1940/50's era version of the "Fuerza Aerea San Theodoros" in between, the C-47 Dakota is almost finished, just need to make decals for it. as for other aircraft, ive already got 2 T-6G Texans on the bench awaiting decals. for fighters im thinking P-51D Mustangs and F-86 Sabre's. might give the Navy a PBY-5 Catalina, F4U-1D Corsair and a TBM-1 Avenger, perhaps in combination with an ex-US Navy escort carrier.

and staying in San Theodoros, i want to make a new diorama for the downstairs display cabinet in the living room, depicting 1940/50's Los Dopicos International Airport, and before you say anything, im not "planning" to build it,.....IVE ALREADY STARTED ON IT! 

the backdrop is printed out on adhesive label paper, fitted to cheap balsawood A4 sized plates, these will be drilled onto a 73 x 25cm plank thats now been sprayed in grey, this will for the basis for the airport. on the tarmac im planning to put 3 aircraft: 2 DC-3's (Arabair and Santaero) and a Boeing 307, although i could trade this for a Syldair DC-6 im planning in the near future. i have a few zvezda Po-2's, these would be painted all-yellow with civilian serials, would make a nice addon. for the control tower, ive designed a building similar to the old control tower of Eindhoven (Netherlands) in the 1930's. first plastic will be cut once the space has cleared on the workbench.

thanks, regarding my last blog entry, here's few update pictures.

first off, the aircraft intended for the Fuerza Aerea San Theodoros 
the YS-11 is largly done, awaiting decals (still to be printed), the C-47 is now in a similar state (after these picture were taken)




second, is the planned airport diorama, as you can see its in an early stage.
control tower is largly designed, cutting of the first plastic is expected soon, just need to work out some of the details.
