I like Vallejo or Model Master Dark Sea Blue acrylics.

I am also thinking, close air support or COIN duties in Africa during operation Saladin. Turbo prop would be a good modification, with anti soft skin vehicle load out under the wings. Either podded or built into the wing 50 cals, and a pair of 20 mm cannon. Unguided rockets napalm, and maybe some early cluster munitions.

Gondor

I have a silly idea of doing a pair in TOS shuttle craft markings, then they can be "Gardians of Tomorrow"

A lot of the wing real estate that you'd normally use for wing guns (just outboard of the prop arc) is taken up by the undercarriage bays. However there's a pylon under each wing root inboard of the bays, so there might be enough space to put a 20mm cannon there, electrically synchronised to fire through the prop, like the inboard wing guns on a Fw 190.

Pylonage is one big one inboard, one big one outboard, and three 5" rocket rails on each wing between the u/c bays and the outboard pylon. The hunter version also had a bomb bay. What you could probably do for COIN is fit the wing root guns, fill the bomb bay with extra fuel, then have CBUs on the inboard pylons and rockets outboard.

Sword aren't daft, you've almost got to order the pair.

I'd be keen on a fire bomber boxing or conversion.

Hmm. One in blue and the other in silver. I am building the SeaMew at the moment so this is a distraction for later in the year.

The Seamew and Guardian are at opposite ends of the anti-submarine technology ladder,  I'd have said.  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model
