Well its the only kit on their coming soon page, as most recent issues have been re-issues or revised tool kits, so Seamew is really the only one we can talk about

It's an anti-sub-thread.

I'm guessing that the after-market folks are hoping for sales of vacform clear parts, the kit ones look a little on the obese side of thick.

There's photos of one of the test shots built up on face ache.  Looks decent enough.

Hannants have informed me that the Seamew is in stock, so I have ordered the one I had requested, then added a few other items to get the free postage.

Some good whiffing possibilities there, methinks. The Gannet was obviously much more capable, but also more expensive and complex, which makes the Seamew attractive to smaller nations who wish to expand their ability to protect their seas. A few tweaks to fix the handling issues and Bob's yer uncle!

Ironically, I found my Contrail kit in the loft last night.  The built up Magna one - from the original kit - is also to hand, but it's all warp factor 9 and may well end up being a donor for a Westland project.

Ideas:

Convert the "killer" version to a Skyraider-style CAS aircraft.

Turboprop either or both of them.

Convert the "hunter" to an AEW platform.

Add back in the jet engine that was originally intended for the design.

Gondor

Sword does appear to be getting into the anti-submarine business recently. First the Seamew, now the Guardians.

Sword aren't daft, you've almost got to order the pair.

I'd be keen on a fire bomber boxing or conversion.
