The latest Airfix magazine a test build of one of their new kits, guess what?

A 1/48 SPITFIRE! Wowee.........

This time it's a IXe, made from most of their TR9 but with a new fuselage mould. Needless to say I'll pass................
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

So in theory I should be able to buy every single Spitfire that was produced, why don't they have a crack at the Triumph Spitfire for a change?

Whilst I'd guess it's not as popular as the Buccaneer one just needs to look at what the Xtrakit one goes for to see there is demand. Kind of like Revell and the Hunter.
