I definately need to get one of those!  :o  Every time I see that aircraft, I can't help but wonder what sci-fi or reverse engineered UFO technology they used in making the real thing. The U.S. always says that we have the most advance military tech anywhere on the planet. Yeah, right. Not anymore we don't.
Modeling isn't just about how good the gluing or painting, etc. looks. It's also about how creative and imaginative you can be with a subject.
My modeling philosophy is: Don't build what everyone else has done. Build instead what nobody has seen or done before.

Nice.  I think i'd like one of these.

Now that looks good

I think they're flying over Hong Kong.

It's not cheap, the only place I can find it is Jadlam at £45 with a June release date. But there is a lot of plastic there.

They've already worked out over on Britmodeller that this represents the first prototype and does not include the inlet, gear and nozzle changes in the second aircraft. Doesn't lessen its value as a platform for whiffing, but annoying nonetheless.

Any news on the 1/48 RN Buccaneer....? I've seen a pic of the box artwork....a grey/bluish scheme woth I think 4x ASM....
BODY,BODY....HEAD..!!!!

IF YER HIT, YER DEAD!!!!

The Wooksta!

According to people on Britmodeller, it's... wrong in several places.  Stick with the Airfix one.

From the pictures I've seen of built examples, it has a couple of nasty looking joints but, that could just as easily have been a ham fisted modeller building it ;)  ;D .I'm not really bothered with  minutiae about intake ducts, rivets etc . The joint issues are fixable and, I'm not bothering with unsubstantiated "wrong shape" issues reported else where. It certainly cannot be mistaken for anything other than a Buccaneer. It's a good bit cheaper than the Airfix kit from general prices I've seen and, that's the deal breaker for me. I bought one recently that was 15% cheaper than the Airfix kit and , it looks fine . Good enough for me

I believe Trumpeter are planning multiple options/boxings ,probably using a common mould? Pity an S.1 doesn't seem to be among them.
At least theres no other info provided but, we don't always get what we wished for

Multiple option on a Bucc that DON'T include an S1?

What options ARE there, apart from a different RAF/RN decal sheet and a bulged bomb bay door, or not? And the different wing tips maybe?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

An S.1 would require a different mould as the centre fuselage differences are more extensive
than just "enlarged intakes".

Loadout & paint, basically:
RN with 4 x Bullpups
RN with dumb bombs/rockets
RAF cammo with dumb bombs/rockets
RAF cammo with anti-ship load (3-4 x MARTeLs)
RAF cammo with Pave Spike, ALQ-101, couple of LGBs
RAF Desert Storm with above loadout
South African with rocket pack and 4 x AS30s
South African with rocket pack and local cluster bombs ("Golfball" bombs?)
