A 633 Sqn movie aircraft would make for an interesting RW build.  The JMNs would get confused.

I've long been pondering a Hampden with a deeper fuselage - so it really does look like a flying suitcase.  Maybe a PR machine which needed the extra depth for long focal length stereo cameras?

With a Hampden you could do that with the camera mounted lengthwise in the fuselage and a mirror. That's what they did with the System B camera in the Canberra PR9s.

But the deeper fuselage idea is MUCH more Whiffy, and could make it look French too. Perhaps a bay window in the nose too?  ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

And Art Nouveau embellishments on the window frames...

You don't need to deepen the Hampden fuselage, just give it a nose like the prototype.

zenrat

I don't NEED to but I can't get the idea of doing so out of my head.
Maybe in addition to the cameras there was a developing lab under the cockpit which needed standing room...

And a kitchen and dining room too, and maybe a couple of sleeping berths as well. It's tiring work doing all that developing and printing you know.  ;D

That nose is looking perilously close to the" conservatories "found on some 1930's Amiot bombers.

That's hilarious! And it has spats too!  Was there an elevator to get up to the cockpit?

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

This should explain why C.C. Grey of The Aeroplane gave it the flying suitcase moniker.
The ventral turret is a Heyford retractable type fixed in place.

Have it mounted on top in a housing that looks like a suitcase handle.  ;D

That's easy, just raise the top of the fuselage & fit side windows like the Wellington's.  ;)

H-P don't have the engineering and production capacity for the deepened fuselage Hampden so it's handed off to Gloster. After a great deal of redesign it belatedly enters service as the Gloster Gladstone.
