Quote from: Beermonster58 on September 23, 2025, 01:32:41 AMJust out of curiosity, why would anyone stick a torch onto a firearm? Maybe I'm missing something but, to me it simply says ; "Look at me, I'm a target. Shoot at the nice light!" ;)  ;D
Monster mate we mount torches with a remote pressure switch which we use to activate the light when holding the weapon in both hands ..we mount the switch the way we want it ...personal choice.
The torch might be a target but with a IR lenses we can see em with NVG's but not the bad guys ..also if ya have a powerful one they are brilliant at blinding  bad guys before the fall down part .
One other thing is working a double team trick ..one guy will have a light out to his side ..the second will not have his one on ..military torches are extremely bright and the second chap uses his mates light to target the bad dudes and the bad dudes can't see past the light ..works surprisingly well as a shield.
Some even have a dazzle function..one I have has it ..disco time baby   ;D

Interesting 😊👍

I prefer old school.

Or if you want to be a bit more modern.

An Enfield No.4 with a spike bayonet gives you a MUCH longer reach, like 3.5 FEET.........................

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

That revolver of Jon's would be more useful in a trench fight than a full size rifle. Though not so useful in the open...

I have one of those spike bayonets, it's basically a nail.
;D

When we were issued with No. 4s in the school CCF (and I had a No. 4(T) target version with Parker-Hale micro-adjustable sights..... ;) ) they made sure none of us DID keep the bayonets, and they were all locked away in a cabinet in the armoury!  :o

And just how on earth are you supposed to carry that thing? Definitely not in a holster like that. The combo pirate pistol and dagger I can see using a single shot weapon but with a 15 round mag? Just shoot em again.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.  Revelling in numptytism.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

What you see there Gentalmen's is a gimmick for poops and giggles ,,costs like $20US and its fully admitted that its useless but a good laugh   ;D
Its got a laser mounted in it too for even more practical close quarters combat
I saw one Glock ,,a Glock 40 with quad custom mounted  picatinny rails with four high powered LCD torches mounted to it ,,just for the hell of it  ;D
We were doing CQB training and one of my crew thought he's light up the room ,,did it brilliantly and funny has hell ,,again ,,poops and giggles
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .

Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Oh for the days when all I had was my trusty and reliable L1A1 and, the equally user  friendly Sterling SMG to cope with! ;)  ;D

Both rather fun implements to play with Monster mate 👍 👌
We've used the L1 on more than one occasion set up as a DMR  ;D

I know we shouldn't probably say things like this in our Woke/PC infested culture but, I was very fond of that big, heavy brute of a
rifle! 😉😂
Reliable, sturdy, soldier friendly, very resistant to abuse and , it would STILL work after said abuse!  Also would have made a damn good
club if you ran out of bullets! 😂
