I still don't know for sure is the administrator of this forum has decided on a "virtual modeler" kind of category... So just in case there is one, allow me to present some of the stuff I did that was especially appreciated by those who visited my gallery (don't like to blow my own horn but since the category doesn't seem to exist, I guess no-one would think of nominating any of this stuff, anyway!). I'm sorry but I just cannot choose which one to nominate for myself!

FICTIONAL AIRCRAFT:
(some were in three-view and profile form but I'm only featuring those that are photo-based)

AERO COMMANDER XL-29

BEECHCRAFT TWIN MENTOR

BELL-BOEING CV-22C LONG OSPREY

CONVAIR XF3Y-1 SEA DAGGER

DASSAULT MIRAGE 1000A

FAIRCHILD XA-46 PETREL

HUGHES H-3

LOCKHEED XP-73 SWORDSTAR

McDONNELL-SAAB VOOKEN

ROCKWELL T-2H BUCKEYE II

ROCKWELL T-4A BUCKMASTER

SAAB JA-38 HERMOD

SUKHOI SU-125 FOGHORN

VOUGHT YPU-1 VIGILANT

YAKOVLEV YAK-16 "FISTFUL"

IMAGINARY COLOUR SCHEMES FOR REAL AIRCRAFT:

MARTIN/HANDLEY-PAGE PANTHER Mk. I

MIL HELICOPTERS CH-69A HALO

MIL HELICOPTERS MH-44B HOOK

DASSAULT F-28A RAFALE

(It all seems like a lot but I posted more than 80 whifs since I joined!)

Thanks to you all for taking the time to look at these and maybe suggest one or two of these for last minute inclusion!

(oh, and if you've never visited my gallery, please do.)

Weaver,
Unfortunately Eddie didn't finish this before the New Year but it definitely will be in the 2010 Whiffies.

Stargazer,
We did set up a new category called Best Imager to recognize those like you, Spinners, and others.

Aw c'mon: it was for a GB that was supposed to end on 15th Dec, then was extended to 31st Dec, then 4th Jan in order to get ANY finishers. It's very much a 2009 build. Bit of leeway please?

Robert, you're a genius! I've just gone through 30 pages of your thread that I had not yet seen, and they're chockful of whif delight!

Anything by you deserves nomination... and a prize at the end!

Is there a deadline for the nomination process?
Cheers,

Is there a deadline for the nomination process?

Haven't confirmed with the rest of the Academy yet but think the Sway thread nominations will run through the end of January.  At that point we will gather all of the info and create Category Nomination polls with everything that fits each category (some of these could be big).  Two weeks of voting on these will give us our final 5 in each category to vote on who gets the Whiffies.
