Curtiss F-14C-2 Seahawk - VF-27, United States Navy, 1944

I thought I'd try an overall dark blue (midnight blue?) and I noted one VF-27 Hellcat profile showing a shark mouth so I used that again and added some Japanese kill markings (this pilot is obviously an ace) and some stencilled numbers. Also, the starbars are just white only because of the blue paint job. Next week, I'll try a Fleet Air Arm Seahawk or Sea Kittyhawk!

How did you get the wings to fold when it's a fixed wing model to start with?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

He didn't: the folded-wing aircraft are Seafires in USN markings.
