Just now: Zero, Mosquito, Spitfire and Mustang.     ;D ;D

... and again two minutes ago, third flyover, this time solo. She seems to be out on an extended
flight around the city.

Was it a 'real' Zero Jon, or one of those very well done Harvard/Texan T6 conversions

FHACM has a real Zero, of course now that I think about it, it may have been their FW 190,
as it, along with others will be flying this weekend for FHACM'S European Day show.
I saw the four-ship formation late and it was partly obscured by the big fir in the backyard.

Having dinner at the http://www.marinecityfishcompany.com/ last eve ( Cajun Angels, to die for ! ) and this lovely old lady flew by and then alighted. First time I'd ever seen one. Cool ! I was going to drive over to where it was docked, but after a few of these https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/764/2318/ tasty critters I forgot lol

Yesterday I saw another Voyager take-off.  And I forgot to mention I watched a Piaggio Avanti landing the same day the An-124 came.

Oooooh, cracking looking aeroplane!

I once saw the Ferrari Racing Team's Avanti landing at Rome Ciampino Airport, and it was VERY red!  ;D

Haven't seen the aircraft making them, but the weather conditions over the last couple of days have led to numerous contrails high up in the sky. At 7:00am this morning I counted 12 criss-crossing in all directions. Quite beautiful against the clear blue sky.

Because the main East-West airway (I don't know what it's called these days, but it used to be Green 1, Jaybee or Kitbasher will know for sure) goes slap bang overhead here, we have contrails almost all the time. I don't even look at them any more, I mist be slipping.....

For those playing at home, it was FHCAM's genuine, two-seat zero. It was used as a camera-ship for photos of the genuine 190A, Spitfire, Mosquito, Hurricane and 109E.

Out early this morning and 8 Geese (probably Canada) in echelon line astern. Right racket with all that honking.

Got an interesting story to go with this, I come from Poole and in the park there a flock of Canada Geese turned up one year and never left. The story was they got blown off course during their annual migration during a pretty violent storm somewhere over the Atlantic.

Anyway, my Grandad used to keep domestic geese on his property (that's when it was legal to have animals in town) and when he died he had in his Will that the geese were to be released on Brownsea Island in Poole Harbour. What happen afterwards was these domestic geese and the Canada geese started to get it on, resulting in a bunch of hybrid geese which had features from both species.  I've seen them once before I left for Canada, and whether they're still at it I wouldn't know as I've never been back to see.

We have a few Canada's in both Norwood Lake and Crystal Palace Park and most stay all year. they get fed by the public so why go ? They tend to fly between the two lakes, only a mile and a half or so.

The funny one is when they try and push in on the ducks being fed. The Mallards in particular really stand up for themselves  ;D

I've seen that with Mallards and Aylsbury's. If it continued I suppose you'd end up with a local population that was quite unique ?

I was staying with some friends last weekend in Norhants (or maybe Rutland....) and there was loads of stuff coming over. The best was this Beech 18 that gave us a great (and LOUD) aerobatic display.

The Beech was followed by an SAI SF260 heading eastwards in a hurry, and then, somewhat slower, was this guy in a micro-light.

And today, while I was out shopping, an A-400M cruised over Chepstow only just below the 5000 ft cloudbase. I still think they sound weird.....

Last night while waiting for a bus home in Hull city centre, a lone Red Arrows Hawk flew pretty much over my head.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Captain Canada

Watching those old Beech 18s put on an aerobatic display is certainly fun to watch ! Over here we get to see Matt Yonkin do it at least once a year. Looks and sounds amazing !
