Niagara falls is a collective term for three water falls.
Horseshoe falls ( the most famous) most definitely Canadian, the other two are American.

Cats are not real.
They are just physical manifestations of collisions between enigma & conundrum particles.

USCG patrols the Great Lakes. There is a deal that USCG perform search and rescue farther out on Lake Michigan and the Chicago Fire Department takes care of incidents closer to shore near the city. So it was strange to see the Jayhawk over the city.

I see.  Thanks for the explanation.

So, when does Dick Wolf add to his Chicago franchise with a "Chicago Coast Guard" TV show?
;D

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

C-17 on the approach path. Not a frequent visitor - but not unusual either.

Seen rather than heard in Alston (beside the South Tynedale Railway) a helicopter unspecified of the Queen's Flight, having brought the Duke of Gloucester to an event .  I was enthroned in the facilities at the time so I couldn't identify it!

Later, just west of Penrith, a Hercules heading East at a ridiculously low height.  Glimpsed through trees rather than clearly seen.

They've obviously missed you at home so they're looking all over for you.  ;D ;)

A C-130 took off from YYC about an hour or so ago

Not today, rather this passed Saturday, a DC-3 right over the house.

Yesterday and today at YYC.

Saw a Cathay Pacific 747-8F take off then a short while later, another Airbus Voyager landed yesterday and today watched a Piaggio 180 take off. Then I got to see my first A400M land, a German one too. Went and had a look at it where it was on Apron 9 and found it there with it's engines running and the Voyager being pushed-back from it's gate just behind it.

while working on a 1/72 Agusta A109 in Belgian Air Force markings, the real thing flew over just about 30 minutes ago

Seen over my model railway club y'day.

The Gloucestershire Police helicopter, a Eurocpter EC-145 I think, appeared overhead around lunchtime and went round and  round and round and round................ for about 35 mins! Goodness knows what they were looking for, but they took long enough about it.

As you can tell, my mobile phone doesn't really have a long focal length lens.......

A pair of Ospreys, heading west, into the setting sun......a totally unmistakeable silhouette!

Ahah, I heard a very strange sound this evening, westbound, but couldn't see the aircraft. Perhaps it was the same pair as we're not that far apart?

Yesterday I saw the RAF's Voyager take off and today I thought I was watching it return. I wrongly identified it though. What I saw was a Luftwaffe A310 ( and it taxied by quite close to see properly). I don't think it was a MRTT variant because it didn't have any refueling pods under the wings so I'm wondering what it is called.
