Captain Canada

Some great shots in there thanks. Love the Tornados in the circuit. Always look mean from that angle.

I was gardening and saw this guy fly by. Looked like an L-19or Sentinel or what-have-you. It had a CDN civil reg under one wing and what looked like a French roundel under the other. As he banked away it looked to be a nice blue, or even two blues, kinda like a WWII USN bird. By the time I ran in and got the camera he was too far and I only had the small lens anyway....

Last but not least I saw these three today. I think maybe the aforementioned one was/ or is a part of this gang.

I believe they are practicing for the rededication ceremony for the Sabre tomorrow.

Sikorsky S-92 again:

I was waiting for my bus the morning close to Hull City Centre when I heard a row.  It was going slow enough to get my phone camera out.  Judging on where I was, I assume it was heading in to Hull Royal Infirmary.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Seen flying over my house today...

Captain Canada

Two of those L-19s or what have you flew over the rig today. They were in a perfect formation and of course, my camera was at home.  :banghead: One was that silver one with the US markings and the other I couldn't tell. I'm guessing the blue one. It was cloudy with low light....camera is coming with me tomorrow

OK not over my house, but at work (that's at YYC)

While I was on my hard-point, right on the international concourse apron, I heard an unusual engine sound so looked quickly around and saw one of these taking off, but I couldn't tell which one.

Then a couple of hours later, this took off

I'm fairly sure it was this one too.

Couple of nice spots there Robert !

I was lucky enough to see a turbo Dak doing circuits in Edmonton a few years back. Sounded weird !

There was a nice treat to look at today, just after I left work yesterday, the RAF came to town. So for most of the morning I was looking at C-17 (ZZ175) as it was parked on the adjoining apron.  And off just out of view but the fin was showing, was a Voyager so can't tell you which aircraft it was.  Then after an Air Canada 767 pulled right up to where I was stationed (like 50 feet away) I missed the two taxiing away for take-off.

I wonder what the RAF were doing way out West???
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

New batch of troops being deployed at CFB Suffield I expect Kit, it's a major Brit Army training facility ( the base' training area has about the same square kilometers as Dorset and Devon put together)  I have read somewhere that the UK Government traded a bunch of submarines in exchange for a few years lease of the base, don't know how true that is but Canada got a bunch of submarines a while ago (duff ones I might add, one caught fire on the way over here and all the others have been in dry dock having all the problems fixed)
