The Presidential aircraft was in Topeka Kansas overnight and unfortunately used runways that kept it away from my house where I could have gotten a photo in flight. Also I'm not dumb enough to go anywhere near Forbes Field while it was there. Seems the Topeka Police, Shawnee County Sheriff, and interesting black GMC Suburbans with dark tinted windows were very interested in the happenings in my block the whole time he was here. Long story on that, some of which I won't or can't tell.
So instead I'll post this picture of the Presidential aircraft.

It's a true story, only the names have been changed, to protect the guilty.

I started a new job at YYC this week, it includes going air-side.  Of note that I saw trundling past me on Tuesday was this one (I didn't take this photo of it though)

I took some pics of it in London when it first came out. Looks a lot bigger in that scheme ! Sadly, that was a 'lost roll' that went AWOL, which was maddening as a pair of RAF Jaguars took off and did a few impromptu passes. Only time I'd ever seen them fly....

Oh yes, that retro TCA A320 looks the business.

Someone does a decal for that, I think it's DrawDecal.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Just had a Skycrane firefighting helicopter pass over the house.  Another bushfire broke out near here yesterday but its about 20 km away and move away northwards.  It broke it's containment lines this afternoon. I was looking at the smoke plume all the way home thinking, "this is a bit big" and could see it was blowing away from me.  I got home and  I was outside watering some plants when I heard a very, very, loud turbine noise.  I thought to myself, "Thats not a Chinook and it's a bit odd for a fixed wing (sounded almost turboprop) and I looked up and it came over the house at about 100 ft, going hell for leather away from the fire.  Must either be trying to find water or looking for some juice to keep flying.   Anyway, bloody big chopper!

Pretty awesome site eh ? We were stuck in a well years ago, and we were kinda milling around location out in this farm field, when one came thundering over head. About 100 feet as well. And loud ! Looked almost like a giant bug, nose down and going like hell !

Not over my house but I was at Romford station earlier (counting rivets on trains ;D) and saw two Peregrine falcons swooping. One missed his dive and came hurtling up the tracks through the station, passing my nose by about two feet.....absolutely fantastic .

NARSES2

When I worked in Croydon we had a pair of falcon's (not sure of type) nesting in the gutters of the building. It was fantastic watching them scare the be-jabbers out of the pigeons  ;D Found it amazing that they weren't even fazed by the construction of a new office building next door.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Go4fun

   Not sure what it was...
... but it was a four engine passenger jet, not a C-5A Galaxy. Shaped like the old DC-9 but it was white on top and gray on the bottom like a Navy jet. Dont see many jets like that in Kansas in the middle of the country but there it was, floating by overhead headed for a landing at Forbes Field here in Topeka.
Wish I'd had my camera with me.

A four engine jet with the engines at the rear?

As the prime contenders for that title, the RAF's VC10s, have all gone to museums now that only leaves two possibilities, the Il-62 and the Lockheed Jetstar.
