A beautiful silver and blue Aircoupe flew over last evening.....I got a crappy pic of him later as he was leaving the airport. I'm guessing he was clearing Customs and heading into the USA. Wish I could have seen the reg on it....
Is that the little twin fin monoplane? If so, nice

Ya that's the one ! In the pics from afar that I did manage to take, it looks like a P-38 Lightning !

BAe Hawk Mk 66 - or two.
It could've been the same one doing the approach twice. These are in the red and white scheme that they had when purchased from Switzerland. Hawks are not frequent visitors here and this was the first time I saw one in red and white.

Most of the older Mk 51s are supposed to be decommissioned and some refurbished for sale to military or civilian customers. I don't know the status of this.

NOTHING  seen over my house today......nothing at all!!!   No light aircraft from Shobden,  no helicopters or Hercules off to play with the Hereford Cowboys, no air ambulance, no RAF  at low altitude disturbing the peace....and a veil of high cloud so no civil stuff visible at altitude.    Where have all the aviators gone???

Herefordshire is usually awash with low fliers of all sorts. Many of them pass over here en route to Rheged-land, but I've noticed a dearth of traffic locally recently too.

Finally had my camera at the ready to get a few pics of that pipeline patrol plane that's always buzzing around....but alas it was a 'rental' or somat and not the red trimmed one with titles and a tail logo. Darn.....

Ryanair FR 7773 from Alicante - on approach towards a dark cloud, in a bit of side wind.

I expect to see thunder, lightning, hard wind and rain pretty soon.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

The RAF made up for their absence yesterday by coming over chateau Rheged at  about 87 foot 6inches (or so it felt like) above ground level with a brace of Tornadii

:tornado:

And noisy too.  ;D

An earlier version of the Tornado flew over here about an hour ago, being a Merlin Spitfire headed Cardiff way, maybe bound for St Athan? It was almost vertically above the house so I couldn't see if it was a bubble canopied Mk XVI or a Mk IX. I suppose it could have been PL965, the only flying PRXI, but it didn't look as if it was blue.
