Edinburgh certainly doesn't lack for colour, does it?

I've got a decal sheet for that Eidelweiss 'bus somewhere, I must look it out, it's pretty impressive in the metal.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

<_< I've got the same decal sheet in my stash too!! All I need is a 'bus to put it on!! Here's another couple of splashes of colour!! Apart from the 767s, all were taken last Sunday & Monday. The Qatar , US Air & Edelweiss flights are all very recent additions to the list of Edinburgh destinations. Now that Edinburgh has been freed from the BAA shackles, one hopes this trend will continue! ;D

Hm, I've actually got both.  ;D

I'm not sure I've got enough wet-and-dry to sand all those rivets off though. The decals would be a bitch to apply without getting rid of all of them.  :banghead:

Just passed almost over the house at a very slow pace (15-20 mph) a Police EC135. I say almost as it appeared to be following the main road which is about 80yds away.
It has Police on the tail fin and Poileas (Gaelic for Police) on the fuselage but the normal Strathclyde Police EC135 that we see around here is Dark Blue with yellow trim.

Very interesting composition of flight. The helicopter, the bird and feeling like you are flying in the London Eye.

Earlier to-day this flew over the house and appeared to be inbound to Prestwick. So later I got the camera and drove out to the airport and there she was.
N345AB built as a DC-3 in 1943 and now painted as a USAAC C-47 with full invasion stripes. Owned and operated by the 1941 Historical Aircraft Group Museum of Geneseo in NY state.
She apparently came through about three weeks ago to take part in the D-Day celebrations.

Parked not far from it was this An-26 of Air Bright a Bulgarian freight operator, and has been based here at Prestwick for the last month.
It was painted in this colour scheme for the production of the film "The Expendables".

Saw the C-47 over Burnley this morning, heading north.  Lovely!
"Inconceivable!"

Did anybody jump from the DC-3 during the D-Day commemorations?
