That's an awesome shot ! Don't you love it when an aeroplane completely fills the frame ? Then you know it was darn close ! Great shot, and an interesting angle you don't see very often.

As usual, the air ambulance.  Then with a mighty roar, a yellow Sea King coming in to the local hospital so fast and low that I feared for the tops of local trees.  I assume another mountain accident in the Lake District, and that  helicopter driver was in a rush to get the casualty down!!  No time to grab the camera.

Nothing today but the local copper chopper and the usual stuff coming in and out of Heathrow...

We had one of them over here the other day too. They reckon it was a UFO around these parts of course.....
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I have heard this morning, in wee small hours, several jet and turbo-prop aircraft flying overhead to the north of my house.  I wasn't willing to extract myself from my bed but I am betting it was some of the search aircraft looking for the mysteriously lost bits and pieces of what is being assumed to be Malaysian Airlines MH370.   It would have been too dark to see anything but I'd like to see an Il-76.  Its a shame I can't get out to look at the apron at RAAF Pierce 'cause I'm on-call for work this week end.  :(

We've had that over the last week or so as well. I think it's the thing that makes you discard winter jackets
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Bashing the circuit here at Prestwick to-day is this Fokker 70 of KLM Cityhopper.

Was on Flight radar 24 on the 12th, klicked on that F-70 and the track was just loads of circles! Thought it was crashing!

Shots were in Burnley, Lancashire in the UK.  As far as I can see from the serial it was ZH873 or 878, a Royal Air Force C-130J-30.  The photos were literally from my house, the top one from my bedroom window.
