From what I've gathered that could be anywhere in the UK right now.

Lovely clear day in the Lake District.....CAVU  until 4.00pm, when the clouds started to roll in. Madame and  I counted 17 (yes, seventeen!!) pretty white trails in the sector of sky we could see from the valley bottom.......... and a day-glo and grey Sea  King , probably from RNAS Gannet at Prestwick, out to pick up a bent or broken mountaineer.

I saw either one Blackhawk fly over the expressway three times or three Blackhawks one time but its quite unusual to have them buzzing around the southwest suburbs of Chicago. Especially at dusk. I'm going to scan my car for tracking beacons.

last saturday while on my way to birmingham and passing the airport, i saw the last DC-10 from
biman bangladesh airlines make one of its last passenger flights having arrived from dhaka via kuwait
a few days beforehand.

From what I read that WAS the last DC10 passenger flight Trevor. You were in the right place at the right time.

lets say kit, the sight of a DC-10 did look very odd at birmingham. when i go past the airport, be that on the
train or the bus, the largest a/c i have seen there is a RAF C-17 followed closely by one of their Tristars. with
the a/c you do see on the ramp normally there a DC-10 was immediately obivious. though i have never flown in
one, the sight seemed rather nostalgic! me is glad i saw it.

the challenge now is to model the individual DC-10 involved!

Talking of the DC-10 family. Just had over the house a Dutch Airforce KC-10, it did three circuits and then either departed or landed.
It is a fairly frequent visitor to Prestwick for training.

There may well be Bangladesh Biman decals available for the Ten, I'll see if I can find any.

I've got more passenger hours aboard Tens than I have on all other aircraft I've flown in combined, mostly trans-Atlantic aboard Northwest Tens. I modelled the first one that took me across The Pond too.  ;D

Well having said that about the Dutch KC-10, a couple of hours later we had an RAF Tristar over the house entering the holding pattern.

So mid afternoon I headed out to the airport, it's only a mile and a half away, to see what was around.
Was the KC-10 there - NO.
Was the Tristar there - NO.
However this was :

Was there an impromptu tanker meets at Prestwick to-day? I do not know but it was good to see.

EMS helicopter landed here last weekend

Working down the river, close to Selfridge ANG base when I saw this.....got all excited as it looked ( at first ) like an all white E-8 type.....or whatever the USN calls theirs. You can forgive my ignorance as Selfridge does still operate KC-135Rs. It was however odd to see him here this low....maybe a charter heading there with US troops ?

Those titles are small compared to the ones on the Rivet Joints! At least the ones on the Voyager are in the right place, and it's nice to see they've stayed with the old 'Transport Command' lightning stripe.

Yes for sure the 'lightening stripe' looks great ! Now, if they could just add 2 engines and move them to the tail.....and then move the tailplane up to the top of the fin.....
