it's bad enought that the Yanks are spying on us when we're down in Windsor....but now the Canucks are watching us too !

Not only that, they actually TELL you what they're doing on the side of the aircraft!  ;D

Canadians are well known for their politeness, Kit.  It's how you know you're in Canada... ;D ;D

I found that to be true too. The only time I ever crossed the Canadian/ US border, and driving a British car at the time, the US border people needed 20 reams of paperwork just to get it out. The Canadian border guys, after first going to the wrong side of the car  ;D were politeness itself and didn't even ask me how I'd got the car there in the first place.  ;D

I can though   Kit how did you get the car there ?

Austin-Rover flew a MG Maestro Turbo in to the US to act as a test car for commissioning their 12 channel road simulator, but then they wanted it to go to Canada for cold weather testing so I volunteered to drive it up there.  ;D

It was a HOOT driving it around Twin Cities as it would out-acccelerate and out-handle almost anything in the State.  ;D

That's what they called 'cold weather' too, they had a permanent site up in Ontario at a place called Timmins. I think that Jaguar-Land Rover still use it.

busy morning

went into town this morning and saw a Belgian Navy Alouette III flying allong the coastline.
on the way home, passed by the airport and there were 2 MD-11's, a King Air 350, Learjet and a Piaggio Avanti on the tarmac.
a local DA40 and a coastguard BN-2A Islander were doing touch and go's.

and then on the way home, an MD520N from the Belgian Police Aviation was doing some patrolflights over the local highway

-all kinds of things.

I just recently saw 3 aircraft (propeller-driven, I couldn't identify the type.) dogfighting and going down low across the valley from where I live.

Actually Maestros were pretty well sorted from the body treatment point of view, apart from the rear wheel arches which for some reason were actually left UN-painted on some cars! What didn't last well were the engines, especially the 2 litre Turbos, which suffered oil seal issues.

Saw something over Waterloo ( ON ) this weekend. Looked like a large single engine turboprop ( like a big Harvard/ Texan II ) but sounded like a jet. No prop sound at all....might have been a Hispana HA-200 ? I think there was one on the CDN civil register....

Logan Hartke

I was fortunate enough to see this coming in for a landing just down the road from my house Saturday.  Apparently it was doing joyrides around the city over the weekend.

Cheers,

Logan

Wow, a 5-AT Tri-Motor! I've never seen one, ever, so I'm green with envy Logan.
