Not a plane, but probably one of the rarest things I've spotted, a working Sinclair C5!!!  On the way home yesterday and had to divert due to roadworks, a guy was just pootling along in the opposite direction.  I remember all the press about them in the eighties, but this is the first time I've seen one that isn't a stationary exhibt.

are you feeling better now mossie after such a nasty shock?  ;D :o ;D

When it first came out I saw about 6 of the things having a race in the City - assume it was a publicity stunt....didn't work  ;D

Still haven't seen one of those 2 wheeled things you stand on and as you move your weight forward they move on the road in the UK, in the US yes but not here. Just as daft as a C5 in my view

They're called a Segway, the cops in Calgary trialed them and in Edmonton they're actually using them.

Seen a few Segways downunder.  Has anybody got a copy of the Chinese counter-terrorism squad using them, with Sub-machine guns?   If the guns don't scare the Terrorists, the sight of the squad on these stupid things will leave them incapacitated from laughter!  ;D

I prefer the sniper in the back.   ;D

See, their plan worked.  The sight has incapacitated, Wombie!  ;D ;D ;D

I just noticed, are those sirens on the front of the Segways?

That picture just keeps on giving, doesn't it?  ;D ;D ;D

The Edmonton cops seem to have similar 'sirens' on the front of their Segways too.

Hmm, does a Segway have a 'front' or a 'back'? It's just 'there', isn't it?

I did wonder if I'd driven through a wormhole and entered an alternate 80's futuristic reality.  Lack of Tron style blacklighting brought me back to my senses! :dalek:
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

A Nato E-3 Sentry, practicing Touch&Go's @ Leeuwarden AFB, juli 18th 2013.

Shot this from my balcony, and I'm hoping for a better shot with less zoom needed. (I could walk towards the base to get a better look, but I'm lazy.)
Love the noise!

I'm surprised NATO never upgraded their TF-33s to CFM-56s, it's got to be costing a bomb in fuel.

Flying just past my balcony a load of green parrots. They seem to have survived the bad winter/spring and this weather is sure suiting them.

Still can't get used to seeing parrots in S London  Bloody noisy sods

The rozzers chopper was about all morning as well
