A couple shots from last evening...

I shot this one while I was getting the grill ready to cook supper as it flew directly over our backyard.

Not in my backyard, but just a block away from it...as it arrived.

...as it departed.

Its not the workbench that makes the model, it is the modeler at the workbench.

Today I had two V-22 Ospreys and a Super Stallion flying in formation fly over my house. Coincidentally I missed it while I was on the phone until I saw them flying away.

Captain Canada

Saw this fly by one evening last week and got all exited.....

I'm pretty sure a Dak flew over yesterday, although it was so close to the sun that I could only just make it out, by the time it was out of the glare it was getting a little distant.

Had a weeks holiday in Essex and managed to spot a few.  Took the A-15 on the way down, you pass several RAF bases so your unlucky if you don't see anything.  Managed to see a pair of King Airs out of Cranwell, E-3's taxiing at Waddington and the Red Arrows practicing over a service station we stopped at.  Further down, a Ryanair 737 and a BA 747 passed very close over the top of us when we stopped near Stanstead.

Saw a few while we there, the most memorable was an RAF Sea King that passed a cruise ship we were on for the day (missus' sister is working on it), we were having dinner outside on the stern and he passed in very close with the winchman waving from the door, got some pics which I'll share when I get a chance.

On the way back saw the Red Arrows again, this time on the A1.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Unusual activity over my part of South London yesterday. We had a lot of very low, airliners circling on a Heathrow approach. Around here we normally see the Gatwick landing pattern and some of this stuff was very low and making some tight turns ??

Ok, it may not be unusual to see two  Blackhawks  in the sky.
It is however as rarer than Halleys Comet to see two of these landing and then taking off from 'a central London location'....

Linked to Chris's odd  goings on at Heathrow maybe or preps for the Olympics?

But why, and who's, Blackhawks?

Concur.....it probably  is   the 1st Hereford (Credenhill) Wolf Cubs   going out to play.    Pride of Cumbria air ambulance  is overhead  at least oncea day and twice at weekends just now.......tourists  hurling  themselves   off our  mountains!

So not exactly over my house, but straight over the top of where I work in central London, 5 Tornado GR.4s as part of the Bomber Command Memorial opening ceremony. Also the BBMF Lancaster dropping poppies (no, not puppies!) over Green Park next to the Memorial.

Not very good pictures I'm afraid, taken with my phone.  The two panoramas are better.

Enjoy!

Your office must be a LONG way off the ground to get the pics of the Lanc! I've just seen it on the news and it bought a lump to the throat.
