Very pretty.  There's the making of an aircraft camo scheme there.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

NARSES2

We've got some owls nesting near us, I hear them most evenings, nights and early mornings this time of year, and I also hear them tearing something apart to feed their young as well. Well I assume it's them, otherwise there's something nasty about

Heard a low growl of radial engines, rushed out in time to catch B-17 Sally B passing over the village

Wonderful! Not something you see every day.

On a Curtiss F9C-2 Sparrowhawk, which is how the bird was referred to until it was renamed the
American Kestrel because it's a falcon not a hawk.

Correct. And to add to the confusion, the 'sparrowhawk' in Britain is actually an accipiter, Accipiter nisus, more closely related to the North American sharp-shinned hawk, Accipiter striatus. This highlights the use of Latin binomials; many people think it's highbrow, but when you seriously get into nature stuff, you realise quickly that it cuts out a lot of confusion.  <_<

Which is weird because I can see it and it was uploaded to the What-If server as usual.

Quite often images are uploaded to the server here and don't appear in the post itself for some time, and then pop up later on.

It's happened maybe half a dozen times in the last month or so.

Two F-35s.
There's supposed to be other US, UK and French aircraft participating in an exercise, starting today.... With some luck, I might even spot RQ-4D Phoenix UAVs.

edit: two Rafales in tight formation spotted.
Eurofighters and F-15s might also visit.
