Something serious is afoot...GCHQ surveillance overhead day and night and today a Blackhawk flew overhead very low heading towards London City Airport. Very James Bond ;D

They haven't tracked you down already?

Apparently it was to do with some 19year old on the Tube with a Galaxy Note 7 WMD.

Sorry no photos, but there has just been a King Air 350C doing circuits here at Prestwick.
The manner in which the circuits were being flown, and lets cal it 'spirited', ( downwind height was definitely well below normal circuit height of 1,000') made me wonder who it was. I had my suspicions, but they proved slightly wrong.
So I checked on flightradar24.com and it was not showing which normally means it is not sqawking on ADS-B, and that usually means military.
It then departed to the SE, you could hear it above the cloud. So five minute later I checked again on Flightradar24, and there it was G-LBSB.
A quick Google check shows that this is the RAF's 6th Shadow, not equipped with any of the sneaky listening equipment, but used as a proficiency trainer for the pilots and general squadron hack.

About an hour ago, exceedingly low, a pair of Herculeses (Herculi??) heading towards Wales. Either the local special forces are out to play.....there were three minibuses full of young, fit men in green berets in Leominster Morrison's supermarket car park earlier this afternoon.......or possibly the Taffia need quelled again.

Also, seen in Hereford last week, a young chap in a Superman T shirt with,in small print below the "S" logo, the caption :-Superman, failed entrance Royal Marines

Nothing new there then.  ;D

I'll load something lethal into the car for next Monday's shopping I think......
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Went out with the dog well after sunset. Once we got to the other side of the street, I heard a hoot overhead: about a dozen swans, their white reflecting the streetlights. At least they were going in a direction where there's open water. Hope they didn't try to land in the small lake that already has thin ice. I doubt that ice is strong enough for a big bird, yet.

Saw a couple of Hercs doing the NAPE thing on our road trip, they were in between Volk Field and the Minnesota border.

Looked like they had a nice outdoor display there as well !

J Herc way way up in the sky. Heard the sound, not a cloud in the sky, and by the time I spotted it and then grabbed the camera, she was gone.

As the light was fading, a VERY low Hercules thundered over the house. Only glimpsed it out of the kitchen window, so couldn't see any detail.

Reports on the radio the Australian Defence Force have been flying around Melbourne at low level in "Blackhawks" training (and waking up babies).
Unfortunately they didn't do it this far South.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Pretty sure I saw a Herc with an orange tail in Ohio yesterday. By the time I got pulled off the highway to a safe spot he was behind the trees....
