A 2-stroke sky stroll. ;D

'Stroll' is right.   ;D

He was lucky it was a north easterly wind as with the usual south westerlies in these parts he'd have been standing still, or even flying backwards!

Captain Canada

That would be so fun to have.

Saw a Twin Otter overhead today. Wish I had the camera at hand to see who/ what it was.

This thing has flown over my house dozens of times on the way and fro to the hospital a couple miles away. Today, it crashed. I go up and down this road all the time! This is just a couple miles from my house.

No one was injured beyond what they already were. Seems as if the collapsing undercarriage stuff worked well.

Looks like the air ambulance needed an air ambulance!  :o

Akin to burning fire trucks!

Aside from the unfortunate accident, that's a nice looking helo. I hope they fix it. Should be able to.

Looks like bits of rotor blade all over the place.
Glad to hear nobody was injured.

Yeah, good thing it was less than 2 blocks from the hospital in the worst case. First things I checked for was to be sure everyone was OK. Once I ascertained that, I was like, "Wow, I have to show this to everyone..."   No aircraft ever crash around this area and especially this close to my own house. Crazy!

EDIT: Now that I think about it... I had a family member that rode in probably that very helicopter a month ago after an accident when she had to be airlifted to Oklahoma City.  I saw that helicopter with mine own eyes from this very seat as it flew past.

Yup glad no one was injured

Not over my house, but over the blue skies of Bromley my first glimpse of an Airbus A380. Obviously bound for Heathrow and no idea how high she was but is she big or what ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

on my way home from work yesterday, i was surprised to see a Chinook HC.4 fly over Brugges :)

Had an S-61 here earlier to-day. Civil version, long nose, nose radome, so I reakon Irish Coast Guard as no one else operates them in this area anymore.
Camera was of course elsewhere at the time. What attracted me at the time was that it did not sound "normal", Ha!

I was sitting in my work vehicle on Friday out on the airfield when in my rear view mirror I saw a CL-215 slowly move by. As it was snowing quite hard and it was on a taxiway on the other side of the runway, it looked like it was floating (I couldn't see the tow tug which was pulling it).

Anyway it went to the north end of the airfield and was parked on an apron right next to  -----  another one!  The one which was being moved has been parked outside the Viking hanger for quite a few months and is mostly yellow, the second one I saw had orange and white striped fin/rudder

Huh... about an hour ago I mentioned in the air museums thread the possibility of an oddball aircraft display "in the middle of a cow pasture or something" then when I go back to my Facebook feed, I see this:

Pilot makes emergency landing in field

This was just West of here in my own county.

(didn't see it, actually, but close enough...)
