Spent about three hours today on Midway IAP. Southwest Airlines 737s as far as the eye could see. A couple Gulfstreams parked too. Too busy working for pics.

Been seeing the Basler Turbo-Dakota everyday just lately, and today it flew twice out of YYC. And a CH-146 Griffin flew right over my truck ---

Just another BAE Hawk, coming in pretty fast and then making a couple of tight turns - presumably to slow down and settle on the final approach to the airport/base. (Lost it in the sun, so didn't see it go)

while I was up a step ladder rebuilding Mrs z's shed.

His and her's sheds ?

Of course.  She's not cluttering mine up with all her gardening paraphernalia.

Fair enough but in the interests of equality shouldn't she be fixing her own shed up ?

It involved tools with blades.  I like her as she is - she has exactly the right number of fingers.

Ah ok  Mind you women use sharp blades a lot more then a lot of blokes do when they are in the kitchen
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Around 1030 hrs this morning I could hear, but not see, what sounded exactly like 4 x Merlins flying overhead! That could only be the BoB Flight Lancaster PA474, but it wasn't scheduled to be flying today, especially down here.

What else could it have been?

Err, Emm, four EH-101s in formation?
Sorry Kit I could not resist it.

They are just physical manifestations of collisions between enigma & conundrum particles.

At about midnight last night, what sounded like a Hercules, VERY low, over the house. You will all appreciate that, being tucked up in bed reading at the time, I didn't immediately rush out into the garden to look for it.

Believe me, it would not have gone well.  I've seen the inside of Mrs z's hand once (strange frilly white stuff and gore) and I don't want to see it again.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Beautiful blue skies. I was in the garden having a puff and watching airliners cruising at altitude and noticed a two engine plane that appeared to be a flying wing...everything behind the wings was invisible. One of those airliners with a 50/50 colour scheme. The rear was painted a blue of some hue and the front white/silver/light gray? Made me realise just what fantastic camouflage that blue would make on high flying recon planes. To the naked eye the rear was truly invisible :o. Of course the contrails kinda ruined it ;D.

Beatiful, sunny day here today. Taking my camera to work in the hopes that if anything arrives for the London airshow early, I can catch it !

Nothing much in central London, just a Spitfire and Hurricane circling over Westminster Abbey.

Today is the anniversary of the Battle of Britain.

Heard this very odd droning late this afternoon and looked up to see this TEENY-WEENY thing buzzing across the sky!

Took him ages to cross my field of view and I stood and stared for ages before I suddenly thought 'Camera!' and dashed back to get it.
