Sorry for the late reply Todd, I've been on a short vacation but no I didn't.

Down in Yuma though this last few days, saw lots of tight turning contrails above the house, but the only 'hardware' I saw was the daily Lakota and then at least three F-18's coming around to land. I was hoping to see an F-35B flying but wasn't able to.  At the Marine Open Day that was held on Saturday, the current 'Fat Albert' was putting on a really spirited display, although I think it was practicing for the new airshow circuit. Come to think of it, the F-18's could have been the Blue Angels ---- but at the distance they were at I couldn't make out the colours.  Lots of other current Marine aircraft were on static display at the open day.

Just north  of Leominster (Herefordshire) at 5 past 10 am a pair of red kites....lovely birds...... and between 10.00 am and 3.00pm, a Short Skyvan pootling around the sky at about 2500 feet. I assume it was out of Shobdon, but what it was doing, I'm not sure.

Paradropping?

There's one from your direction whines over here a few times a year and drops some paras on an airfield just south of Cirencester.

Well my local Magpie clan were out in force yesterday. 8/9 of them flying in formation back to the woods. Plus one very noisy police helicopter. We get it quite a lot around here, usually at night  :banghead:
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Captain Canada

Something flew over the house last night. Loud and low. Almost sounded like an Osprey and the lights and slow(ish) movement coincided. Don't think any are around here tho.....

By placing them on the BBQ ?

Saw a large chopper fly by whilst at work yesterday. Might have been the Ornge AW. I really need to bring the camera !

A military jet trainer went over low and slow today while I was outside painting the house.
My guess it was either the Aero L39 Albatross scheduled to appear at the Tyabb Airshow or an RAAF Hawk.  It was in silhouette so I couldn't see any markings.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Reading about your jet trainers zenrat, reminded me of what I saw at YYC on Thursday. Three BAE Hawk CT-155's rolled by down Juliet (taxiway J) one behind the other heading for the new runway (17L/35R).  Didn't take a photo as I have to sort my cell phone out (been reading about it and it seems I have to reload the camera app again)

Had the Enbridge chopper buzz right over me yesterday. Did a hook around and we were running parallel down the highway. Very cool, even if I couldn't keep up

Tuesday was the day of the Chinook(s) shuttling between the SAS playground at Eywas Harold , Credenhill (Stirling Lines ) and the local airfield at Shobdon.

Wednesday was something VERY loud and directly above my house.  Couldn't see anything at all, so it was either an extremely stealthy something or other (or  a Typhoon hiding in the low cloud).

Today, Thursday, was an extremely low flying Hercules navigating south along the A49. He was at least driving with due consideration for other road users.

A couple of them trundled over here today too, heading SE, presumably Salisbury Plainwards.
