C-295, Learjet 35A/S, Pilatus PC-12 NG, F-18C Hornet and BAe Hawk in formation - and a second Hornet maneuvering around the formation.

local newspaper says they were shooting PR photos.

Something big and loud and turbo proppy flew over.....I couldn't see it, too much haze and clouds and it is so hot out I burned my feet !

ZZ331 was in Calgary on Saturday, it didn't load any troops on before it left though. It was just towed from where it was parked the night before to the apron, prep for the flight and then left within 3/4 hr

To-day, here in Prestwick, it is a lovely day sunny with a bit of high haze.
It was really lovely as we were entertained by an Atlas C1 (A400) going round the hold at 3 or 4 thousand feet. (Photo 1)
Then just as Mr. & Mrs. Sat down outside for lunch he carried out an approach, off the approach he broke left into the circuit which brought him over our garden. (Photo 2).
Off his second circuit again it was a left turnout and he departed SE. (Photo 3).

They are just physical manifestations of collisions between enigma & conundrum particles.

Any aircraft can be improved by giving it a SHARKMOUTH!

Only an ex-Air Traffic Controller could arrange his own personal flypast.  ;D

It's not what you know, it's WHO you know of course.  ;)

While grafting on my model railroad layout in the clubroom today I heard this strange noise overheard, sounding like a formation of Tucanos, so I dashed outside. It was a Piaggio AVANTI in the circuit for Staverton!

I've never seen one airborne before and it redefines the term 'weird'.   ;D

This guy flew over the race track on his way to a call or transfer or what have you. We caught up with him at the London Health Sciences centre, where we also got to see him take off. lots of noise echoing about the high buildings !

I get to see one most weeks as one uses one of the charter companies aprons on the west side of the airport.  I really should go and take some photos of it when I'm done work

An Avanti sure looks weird from the underside, you wonder if it's flying backwards sometimes!  :o

But twinned PT6s at full noise sound great, but then they're ALWAYS at full noise, due to some oddity in the power control system.

Oh nice spot....must have been pretty neat to see ! used to see them every year at the CNE airshow, most memorable was the time there were a pair of 215s with the new 415.

C-295 going faster and lower than usual, in a steep bank to get aligned for long finals. Soon after, a Pilatus PC-12 NG, also much lower than usual.

PR19_Kit

I've never seen, or heard, even one PC-9 I'm afraid, so I can't offer an opinion, sorry.

I did sound like two Tucanos though, which is almost the same thing but built elsewhere.  ;D

We must of had a meeting of the minds here in town this week, as there were two private jets at the aeroport. Only on closer inspection one was  Piaggio Avanti ! I was going to go take pics but completely forgot about it.
