Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Thanks  <_<

Today's weather was miserable for taking pics, and I still have a lot of practising to do with the new lens, but I did manage to get this one:

The dark sky gives it a menacing look. Any weather is good weather for taking pics (well, daylight anyway). Its just a matter of capturing the mood.

What you can't tell from the pic is that it was raining, and my gear isn't waterresistant.

Umbrealla !

I like it. I love shots like that....a bit diferent. We've all seen 'perfect' Typhoon pics eh ? And the weather does make it look menacing !

 I am not going to balance 1,5 kilograms of optics and an umbrella.
Unless it's one of these ;-)

Right, today was dry, if cloudy, so I went back to the air base. These will be the last pics I'll post regarding Frisian Flag 2014 because by now you've seen every kind of plane participating that's stationed over here. There's other planes as well (couple of tankers, Awacs) but they're kept elsewhere.

Evertime a plane comes in to land, the swans just... eh... duck.

Nice umbrella ! That is a good idea for photographers.

Great pics as well. I love watching a/c land....my favourite part. Lovely Herc pic as well. Love Hercs with things hanging !

Yeah Capt'n, normally they are Jet Ranger's, but in the ADF...they are Kiowa's,!

Not to be too pedantic but there is a fair bit of difference between a Kiowa and a Jet Ranger, including of course a taller set of skids.  Good to see the Kiowas still flying some 40 years after they were introduced.  I remember doing a few trips in them on exercises way back in the 1980s.

Canada had both Kiowas and Jet Rangers. Wish we still did !

Not totally correct Brian, as both Bell 206's and OH-58's can be seen with either short or tall u/c.

Got a fantastic view of the ISS passing over my back garden last night.  Oh for some decent binoculars.
