Never ever mess with HMRC, just say "thank you" at every opportunity. They have more power then virtually any other Govt Dept/organisation

Oooooh yes. I have learnt my lesson. I still wince when I see a pair of Marigolds (rubber gloves) ;D.

Mate of mine was lippy to HMRC at Dover once many, many moons ago. Didn't get the Marigold treatment but had to wait a good few hours while they took his car apart searching for contraband. I had warned him not to be sarky and in all honesty the Customs guy asked a perfectly simple, straightforward question. I got the train home !

not over my house, but flew over chorley hospital yesterday, an auto gyro, a white one, heading south, and quite low too.

Saw a flypast of seven jet trainers over Prague yesterday while at the Police Museum. Think they were Albatross trainers but no idea why they went over.

Also saw the cockpit of a Spitfire in the Wings bar ;D

Spey_Phantom

Friday i had a flypast here of a Netherlands Air Force historic flight Spitfire Mk.IX and a B-25 Mitchell

I had the HEMS E-145 lift-off from its base at Stensham about 10 FEET over my car this morning!

They were obviously on a hurry to get to some casualty as it really shot off over the horizon. It was so low over me I felt the downwash from the rotor and I was inside the car!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

No camera handy today when two Stearmans flew over heading east. Both were in full US Army trainer markings with the yellow wings and blue fuselage. If I had a private aircraft of my own I would paint it up like that.

Not exactly seen over my house, but fairly close by was this today...

So I had to cross over the river and head north to see it, not something you see around here every day though...

To the right in the last two pictures is the bridge it was building today. It's a replacement for a local railway bridge that's on the other side of one of the busiest junctions in or around Stirling. The actual replacement will be taking place in a couple of weeks. I will try and take pictures though I bet it will be done at night.

Must be some pretty heavy lifts with spreaders and the amount of counter-weight she's carrying !

She will be moving sections of dual track railway bridge across a road junction. The existing bridge is some distance away from where the crane is which explains why the counter weights.

I used to love working with plant like these. Very impressive pieces of kit, heaviest lifter I worked with was a mobile belonging to Ainscough's and it could lift 1,000 tons. I also saw something not over my house or flying but was still an aircraft, just. I was heading north on the M6 and going south bound was a nose/cockpit section of a Hunter on a trailer. Different I thought
