Not actually over my house....but a field next to it.....due to a serious traffic accident on the main road....my thoughts are with the subject of the accident and therefore I took no pictures of them....seen enough of that at work and also out of respect.....

They must have had to wait a long time, otherwise why would they shut down and leave the aircraft unattended? I have some great shots taken at the one of the local hospital helo pads showing them unloading the patient. One just has to catch the image so as not to show the face of the patient being transported. Either that or blur their face post editing.

If you don't want to show the patient, show the crew as they exit or as the last one boards prior to departure.  Love the NOTAR!

Its not the workbench that makes the model, it is the modeler at the workbench.

About a half hour ago, out the front of our home I heard a sound of raging bees and looking up spied a gaggle of at least six light aircraft. They were flying in a loose formation and appeared to be all light grey or white in colour. To the naked eye, they were the size of an indoor light seen from...say, 50 feet. I'd say, flying at at least 5,000 feet and heading south east. Sorry, no camera and I doubt even then you'd identify them.

PS I live in Brisbane.

I think Hampshire declared war on Gloucestershire yesterday but the news didn't get out....  ;D

I had at least four Chinooks pass overhead my hospital bed yesterday, all heading directly toward GCHQ, (Handy having a window bed  ;D) so I presume that was a pre-emptive strike on the 'enemy's' comms hub. They were followed by a Puma and a Lynx of some sort, both were further away and headed more toward Staverton.

Haven't heard any big bangs yet........

Glad you clarrified that, I had visions of a 1940's style sanatorium and you being parked on a hilltop somewhere  ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I've had a few more unusual ones over the last few weeks.

Chinooks and Hercs myself, both on the same day.  I guess it was an exercise as I've never seen a Chinook around here before and a Herc in a long long time.

F-15's in quantity, seeing more of these than RAF front line types these days.

Was out in the garden and briefly saw a display team disappear behind the houses, too short to identify it. It was a lead of five aircraft followed up by another two.  The missus saw it better than I did, I surmised it was almost certainly the Red Arrows, probably didn't see the other two.  No, she said, they weren't red.  I asked what colour they were.  "Aeroplane colour" was the answer!

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Saw a Vulcan display at the Chicago Air and Water Show many years ago. The Vulcan has had my respect ever since.

A life changing experience, especially for your ear drums if it was low enough.  ;D

So where did you see it?

Saw a pair of Spitfires from the BBMF fly over yesterday, even if they were a fair distance from me.

About 10:00 this morning, I saw a B-17 flying North, might have been heading for Reading PA.  I was delivering Meals on Wheels and didn't have my camera.   :banghead: :banghead:

One of the old gents I delivered to saw it, told me he was a waist gunner on one & showed me the photo on his wall.

Made a strange day at work worth the effort!
