Saw something strange last night, about 6.30pm heard a loud helicopter, so had a look outside. Sure enough a large helicopter, couldn't tell what type , all its beacons flashing, but in the very low light could make out a second helicopter ,shadowing the first on a very, very, close parallel course ,totally blacked out,  with no lights whatsoever. Wondered if it could be some type of evasion practice ? Both heading south in the Brecon area of Mid-wales.

Last weekend I finally got a couple of airborne shots with the new camera.  Waiting for the bus one afternoon, I spotted this T-34 descending toward TLH.

Passed the Yorkshire Air Museum at ex-RAF Elvington today after diverting due to road works.  In front of the runway was a parked Lynx AH.7 & a village of green tents 7 a few military vehicles, looked to be some kind of military exercise going on.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Sticky Fingers

Not a plane. More like a landing strip.
For UFO's.

No tripod equals crappy pic, but still cool enough to post, me thinks.

Riksbar

Just seen the same, with a Pass by the ISS along the line of the moon and planets.

"Inconceivable!"

"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

Just returned from a walk along the beach where a P-3 Orion flew over, coming from the direction of Africa (not much out there except perhaps a certain cruise ship that has been reported drifting).   Flew over towards RAAF Pearce.   Must have been a loooong mission looking for the cruise ship.

The film footage on the BBC was shot from an Indian Navy Dornier. Looked quite funny on the lunch time news as the footage had "Indian Navy Dornier" at the bottom of it. Kept looking for the splashes from the cannon fire and bombs  :banghead: ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

This afternoon about 2:40 or so, an Antonov Ant-124 was on Base, heading into Dover AFB, here in Dover DE . . . My camera was still in the office, not in my car  :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

The whole week was like that, too.

(Gonna finish the last of my Samuel Adams later this evening!!)

Yesterday at work we were deafened by a low flying helicopter. It was a Puma lifting a cabin or aircon unit from the road onto the roof of Waterloo Station.
As is typical I was working and had no camera to hand so you'll have to make do with these video links.

P.S. At the end it says flying time 20 minutes but I'm sure it was more like an hour!

The An-124 comes into Calgary quite often and I've seen one about four times now, so when it was announced that a big Russian jet was coming in I didn't pay much attention to it --- but it turned out to be the An-225.  The local TV News channels were out in force filming it.
