Hawkeye

If this isn't considered over the house...I don't what would be.  A shot from this morning.

Its not the workbench that makes the model, it is the modeler at the workbench.

Yeah, that's pretty much overhead Hawkeye!  ;D

Ages since I've seen a -135 from below THAT close, an excellent shot.

Had an E-2 doing touch and goes at ACY pass right over my car as I was heading home for lunch today.  The Navy must love the 10k foot runway. ;D

Perhaps they see how many times they can land, take off and land again in one pass? ;D

Nah, that was probably the Sh*thook that was coming in while I was on my way home for lunch.  At least they missed the P-3 Ore...Orion that was coming and going when I left to head back to work.  One of the nice things about working at a dual-use airport, seeing what all decides to show up.  Now, if Buff decided to come in, car alarms would be going off.

as I pulled onto our drive after work yesterday. (just as the local school buses where offloading a horde of brats) A RAF C-130J went by from east to west at very low level with its ramp down and the air load master waving to the school kids. We dont see many Herks around here, and the few we do see are not normally that low.
I always hope for the best.

As a side note to my Herc sighting : turns out it was here with engine troubles. Another Niagara bird flew in 2 days later with some techs, fixed her, and away she went. Then the 'rescue' Herc got stuck here for another 10 hrs. due to weather ! Never did get over to take a pic of the two.....

Never thought I'd report this but I think 3 UFOs went over the other night   I'll pause to let your jaws get off the floor.  Three triangular shaped sets of red and white lights went over SILENLTY (and no, there was no noise pollution) at about the normal cruising speed of a helo.  Of course the camera was conviently inside and upstairs (never near by when you need it).  The things closely resemble the reported "stealth blimp" photos all over the net.  No friggin' idea what they were.  Wonder if the MiBs will show up now?  ;D

On a serious note, I wonder if they were some of those new Stealth Blackhawks from the Bin Laden raid?

I always like it when its obvious that the servicemen are enjoying themselves as much are the taxpayers at their antics.

Was he sitting or standing on the ramp?

Who else gets to play with big, noisy and expensive toys like that?  ;D

Hawkeye

Something big and high overhead

something a bit different that I shot the other evening, the moon rising at dusk out of the clouds, a contrail drifting across the face of the moon and a Delta flight caught in the last beam of sunlight high above.

That second one's a great shot

Well, since the Holiday Inn stephenville seems to be my permanent address.....

Looks like the other island airports are closed in by the weather. Had an RCAF 412 Sqn. VIP Challenger fly in first ( just missed the photo )

Then a C-17.

This is the second Charleston based Globemaster to drop in tonite.

EVERYONE seemed to be over my house today!

It's very clear, but cold, and there are buckets of contrails overhead this morning as I live almost directly underneath the what was called Green One airway, but today it's probably UL21 or something. I counted over 25 contrails visible at one juncture, including the BA 777 seen below.
