Green with envy over here.  Some questions:

1. How much of this was scratchbuilt by yourself (including vehicles, etc.)?
2. Do you, um, "play" with this diorama or is it very much a static display?
3. If "yes" to question 2, can I come over this weekend?

Most of the GSE (ground servicing equipment) is scratchbuilt with the exception of the catering trucks, some of the belt loaders, and the truck-mounted airstairs.

The terminal buildings are all scratchbuilt. Some of the jetways are scratchbuilt, the more detailed jetways are Herpa's 1/500 scale jetways that I've detailed with styrene and photoetch details from 1/350 scale ship kits.

The planes themselves are 1/400 scale diecast offerings from a variety of companies that make these as collector's items (or overpriced Man-Toys as I call them).

The display bases are scratchbuilt as well.

I play with my diorama often. The wife wouldn't let me paint a red/white checkerboard on the side of the microwave so I could shoot IGS 13 approaches like they used to do at Kai Tak in Hong Kong where they make a sharp turn on final to line up with the runway.

It's not static, I can rearrange things at will and whim.

Sure, come on over, we can run around outside as well and make jet noises in the front yard. It will piss off the homeowners' association, but those yard nazis deserve every bit of my wrath.

got my own idea to make some hangars. My father collect old computers with minor flaws, buy them for a bargain, and repair them for its own use (nothing illegal, these computers are destined to the scrap yard, its a kind of recycling  ;) )

I've noticed that the metallic box containing the computer itself looks like a hangar.

I mean, this part  ;)

King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.
