i suffer the wargamers / roleplayers problem,  if you get a box of figures, do they count as 1 kit, ( a wargames unit)

Only got 3 of my wargames armies left : Ancient Sumerian ; Han Chinese ; Imperial Austrian circa 1705.

Those could make for an interesting what-if wargame...

All those chariots attacking Austrian lines ?  ;D

if i remember my sealed knot combat rules properly;y  pike gives way to cavalry, cav gives way to cannon , cannon to pike,  so technically ish sorta, chariots vs infantry may be onto a winner

A combination of WRG rules : Ancients and Pike & Musket ? Once the Sumerian's got over the initial shock of muskets, the noise and smoke, they be ok. So 3rd or 4th battle for them. The Chinese would be used to fireworks and rockets so the noise and smoke shouldn't bother them.

1705 Austrian infantry ... There's half a chance that the Han or Sumerian chariots & infantry would wipe the floor with them!

I was thinking of something like a Khyber Pass scenario: the Austrians' weapons are individually devastating, but they're heavily outnumbered and have a long way to go through hostile territory.
