BF-109 takes to the sky

This aircraft was converted from a 109E bought from Russia in the 1990's. Converted by the Swiss Airforce back to an original Me-109B/C as seen in Swiss airspace in the late 1930's. The Junkers engine was a swap from the Czech Republic and this shot taken over the Swiss Alps at the start of the European Airsho season.

That's great Glenn! I really like the look of that 109 in Swiss Fliegertruppe markings!

And it's absolutely breathtaking against that Alpine background!
