FC-8 Framer Pakistani

This is an early 1/72 Revell Su-27 attempt.  The model's general shape is there, but the proportions and details are really off.  The plane is an instant whif out of the box.  I decided to make it into a joint Su-27 knockoff project between China and Pakistan.  For the weapons, only the Sidewinders on the wingstips and the uber-Sparrows under the intakes are real (the uber-Sparrows are from the Trumpeter J-10 kit).  The underwing IR Sparrow wannabes come from the old Revell Eurofighter JF90 kit, while the missiles between the engine nacelles are modified AIM-54's.  Decals came from some F-16 decal set.

Backstory:

The FC-8 was a joint venture between aerospace industries in Pakistan and China.  It was an attempt to build a plane with the capabilities of a Sukhoi Su-27, but for less cost, and not be dependant on Russia for spares.  The project was partially successful, in that the plane was less complicated, thus costing less, but did not have all the capabilities of the superior Russian plane.  Nevertheless, the FC-8 Framer entered limited production in China, and became Pakistan's new heavy front-line fighter.  Using indigenously developed weapons systems, the Framer may be a match for the Su-30's fielded by India, but direct comparison is not able to be done at this time.

This example is armed with two Chinese PL-11's, two PL-13 IR-missiles, 2 PL-9B short range IR missiles, and two long range PL-14's.
