You may recall that I scratchbuilt some gunsights and built up the 'shelf' area behind the bangseats. A virgin Matchbox Hunter decal sheet was robbed of its unit badges but I cannot recall the squadron - I'm sure Martin H or Wooksta will be able to identify it.

Shows what a touch of "magic" can do to an old kit - wonderfull
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Beautiful Strikemaster Ian!!

I'm not 100% certain, but I think those are 58 Sqn markings.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Captain Canada

Great stuff, IHG !

Love the colours and camo. Those yellow bands really make her a standout........

Must be on auto-pilot ?

I'm biased because I love both the FAC role and the Blunty/JP, but in my humble opinion:

That bird is heartbreakingly beautiful    . Without exaggeration, that is the single best Strikemaster/JP model I have seen in my entire life. Ian, you have made not only my day but my entire MONTH.

Forgive me, but after looking at the next lot of pictures (only half had loaded by the time I decided to post) I may feel an impulse to comment a little more.

Thank you Ian. I'm almost in tears looking at this model. Fantastic.

That is sharp.  Beautiful work you do.  You note "nee Airfix..." but isn't that an old Matchbox Strikemaster kit?  Did Airfix re-box it?
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

I invite all and any criticism, except about Eric The Dog, it's not his fault he's stupid

Nope, Bazz, it's a genuine AIRFIX original - I got a MATCHBOX one too (You ain't gonna believe what I've got in mind for that one   ). The Matchbox kit is waaaayyy more basic, but waaaayyy easier to build than this beast.

That aside, I find myself genuinely humbled by the wonderful & positive comments from you guys, for this model, and the Starfighter and Fw190.

Thanks guys.
