Well here is my rendition of the Tempest 7, in the markings of 86Sdrn RAAF as displayed at the IPMS Nationals at Perth Scotland earlier this year. these pictures were taken before the show but it was on display along with one in Fnnish markings, I wonder who influenced that one! Hope to do some more of these and have at the moment 1 already assembled, with an optional version under consideration.
The kit is the Heller/Smer/Airfix Tempest with the Cast nose/props and radiator, and yes it was a collaboration with TSR2 Joe as I started the engine block master and he tweaked it and did the casting. Oh and the props have no blades as such because that is sometimes how they come out of the moulds, so waste not want not.
Best wishes guys

And another, this aircraft would certainly have been a "Beast" but would have been a very powerfull one at that>

Positively looks metal: is that Alclad you've used?
Very sleek, looks like a blur even when it's sitting still.
And the absence of prop-blades looks to me as though the engine's running, anyhow (don't know if you have a pilot figure in there or not).

I think I painted this in "Halfords"- Nissan silver acrylic spay paint but may well be one of their other silver/aluminium colours. Halfords being the Car accessory retailer throughout the UK, for those who are outwith the UK and may wonder who they are.

Getting back into modeling

NARSES2

I saw the two models in the "flesh" at Perth and in all honesty the picture dosn't do them justice - they are stunning

Mine will be based on the Accademy Tempest V but in SEAC camo rather than the NMF.

I saw the models at Perth and was inspired to ask about the conversion bits, got one from the Wookster got the plans of this site and voila she will "eventually" get completed.

Thats the great thing about this site, the inspiration and willingness to share - we dont plagarise but we do get inspired by others work  :)

Also want to do a Tempest VI with P Guns as I now have a nice set of drawings courtesy of our favourite engineer Evan

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
